Birthing CenterThe joy of welcoming a child to a family belongs to everyone, from mom and dad to older siblings to grandparents. At Montgomery Regional Hospital, we make every effort to ensure that everyone shares that experience in the most positive way possible. Our dedicated and highly trained staff cares for mother-to-be through a comprehensive pre-natal educational program. New mothers receive support through services such as pre-and post-natal exercise classes, lactation consultation, and Mom's Talk and Toddler's Talk informal support groups. Classes for expectant parents include:
The Birthing Center provides eight state-of-the-art LDRP (labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum) suites with the comforts of home. We encourage rooming in for father and baby. In every birthing suite, there is a family dining area, and Room Service menu meal delivery is available for the mother. A Level II nursery is available for normal and high-risk infant care. Central fetal monitoring and secure infant abduction prevention systems are in place. Internationally board certified lactation consultants staff our Lactation Center and visit all new moms and are available post-delivery for follow up consultations.
